Johnson & Johnson offices is the project with the largest footage in Colombia achieving LEED Platinum certification.
The new offices located in Bogotá entered the exclusive group of 7 buildings certified as LEED Platinum in the country, recognition of the highest distinction regarding sustainable building. Nearly 113.000 ft2 make this the largest project in the Platinum cathegory, thus achieving one of the highest scores any building has accomplished in Colombia.
J&J Offices opened in march of this year and gather their three businness units i.e., Medical Devices, Mass Consumption and the Janssen Pharmaceutical Line, along with their customer logistical services and global multifunctional services center for LATAM.
Nowadays the Country counts 122 LEED certified projects, the most important sustainability certificate in the world created by the USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council), with the goal to qualify buildings in four cathegories: Leed, Silver, Gold and Platinum.
“We appreciate the work done by Arquitectura e Interiores, office design and building leaders for their commitment and rigurous job during the design development, the building process and LEED consulting from the begining of the Project”, stated Maria Elisa Martinez Human Resources VP for Johnson & Johnson LATAM.
The company accomplished perfect score in water utilization, innovation and design. Moreover achieved the highest qualification in Sustainable Sites, signifying full integration with the environment in wich the building is located.
Developing these offices is based on the company purpose of contributing towards the growth of Colombia and improving employees wellbeing. One of its goals is to count on the healthiest workforce by 2020 and to do so, helping employees, families and communities to live well their entire lives – emotionaly, mentally, physically and financially – is essential. This in turn will make possible an engaged workforce oriented to improve human health.
As a consequence, this project widens the solid presence the company has in LATAM and will allow them to lead the trend in health and wellbeing on behalf of its customers, patients and consumers in the region and around the world.
